Dear You
Holding down the lump beneath,
my throat, chokes, as I clench my teeth.
As if every lie laid in deceit,
How were you sure the words weren't me?
Yet all the stupid things I tried,
Weren't everything I thought I might.
To impress you in such perfect light
I guess my best, wasn't worth your eyes.
And with everything I could've said
Was another meaning that you found dead
My sweet Violet blue, yet dripping red
With no place left to rest my head.
And I'm sorry
In light of what I thought
And in the summer time
will you miss me?
Dear You,
Are you listening?
Can you hear my frequency?
Playing along the midnight air
I'm calling out your name.
And as we listened to the radio
We'd sing along to songs we'd know
Forget what the minute hand meant to me
How time could pass so easily
Only to wake in the dead of night
From dreams of gold and black and white
You aren't here, you're never there
So why'd I think you'd ever care?
And if hopes are spread like stars above
The sky'd shine bright with dreams of love
And as you gaze they'd slowly die
Lose their light and fall from the sky
I'm sorry
That I couldn't be a star
I'm Falling through the autumn air
Will you remember me?
Dear You, are you listening?
Can you hear my frequency?
Dear You, are you missing
The chance to get to me?
My message was lost
In light of what I thought.
I had forgot
That I'm running back in time again
To trace back all the stupid things I said
And write them down with a bleeding pen
To find I'm way in over my head
That I've figured out just where I stand;
I'll take off running to fly again .
I'm watching out for where to land.
I'm staring at the clock hand.
And I'm sorry.
That I was missing you
That you're missing me,
Do you see?
Dear You, are you listening?
Can you hear my frequency?
Dear You, are you missing?
The chance for you to sing?
